National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week

This week kicks off National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week. We think November is a great time to mention one of our favorite groups as we celebrate the act of giving thanks.

Paws For Life Animal Rescue is a group that some of the All Breed Care staff members are involved with. We would like to highlight some of the work they do and offer suggestions for ways to help this week and in the future.

Wondering what you can do in these times to help support an animal shelter or rescue? By taking a quick click over to Paws For Life Animal Rescue you can find the mission statement and ways to support their work.

"Franklin County Humane Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue that was formed in 2002 to help solve the problem of homeless dogs and cats in Franklin and Northern Wake Counties, NC."

From there, you can select a multitude of ways to offer your support:

  • Donate: You can donate money, memorable donations, pet supplies, vehicles, and/or used electronics.

  • Buy Merchandise: How about rocking their logo on some fun merchandise?

  • Wines: Buy wines

  • Homeless Pet Club: Your group can start up their own homeless pet club

  • Earn While You Shop: While shopping at locations like chewy.com; cause network; amazon smile; dog DNA testing; or iGive, you can help support Paws for Life.

  • By Walking: Maybe you don’t have a pet but still want to help. Maybe you are out walking your pets all the time. Join Wooftrax to earn for your organization simply by walking.
