Carol, Maggie & Jake   Carol Shine
Carol is a retired registered nurse and a transplanted Texan residing in Wake Forest. She has always had a great love for animals and now, after forty one years as a nurse, she finally has her dream job!

Carol has two wonderful pups of her own. Maggie is a seven year old Chihuahua who has been her sweet companion since the passing of her husband in 2004. Last year, Carol adopted Jake, an eight year old little guy who has found a loving home with Maggie and her.

Carol is also a dedicated volunteer at the Wake County SPCA and says that she can’t think of anything she would rather do than take care of animals.

Laurie Gayle
Laurie has always had a passion for animals. Her mom could tell you stories of Laurie as a little girl disappearing on dime store shopping trips only to be found in a trance somewhere between the mice and the fish tanks in the pet department. Turtles, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs, rats, fish, cats, dogs, and horses all came to live at the Gayle household at one time or other...thankfully not at the same time.

After working for years at horse stables as a manager and riding instructor, Laurie decided to combine her training as an artist and her passion for animals by painting and drawing commissioned pet portraits in the old masters style. She challenges herself everyday to capture the spirit as well as an exact likeness of each animal that she paints. Her goal is for her clients to have a portrait that they can look at long after their beloved pet has passed and help them keep the memories of their special bond. Visit Portraits by Laurie Gayle to see her exquisite artwork.

Laurie loves working for All Breed Care. She says it's her dream job because she gets to be around animals all day, then go to the studio and paint them all night. Laurie continues to be horse crazy and always has a dog by her side. She has a retired German Warmblood Horse, Hansel and a German Shepherd Dog, Saber.

Bob and Sam   Bob Timper
Bob is originally from Long Island, New York, but he has lived in North Carolina for most of his life. He is married with three children. His entire family loves animal. They currently have an eight year old Peek-a-pom (half Pekingese and half Pomeranian). Bob has also owned other pets, such as birds, fish, turtles, mice, guinea pigs and even an alligator at one time.

In the past, Bob has worked as a network engineer, telecommunications engineer, and as an IT analyst. He enjoyed the engineering and IT line of work, but he has found that being a pet care professional can be even more enjoyable and rewarding. He is very excited about being a member of the All Breed Care team. Working for All Breed Care provides him with an opportunity to work with an outstanding team and to do the kind of work that he really loves.

Nick Wright
A veteran of the Armed Forces who served our country in Operations overseas, Nick has had a variety of jobs since he has been out of the military. None he has enjoyed more than working for All Breed Care. It has been a great match for someone like Nick, who loves animals! In addition to caring for and playing with his clients’ pets, Nick feels he is providing a much needed service to the community.

After a day of caring for clients’ pets, Nick looks forward to returning home to his wife and kids – Bowzer, a Boxer mix, and Peanut, a Fiest mix. He enjoys sharing his experiences with his family and treats all the pets in his care like his own.

Kelly, Gizzy and Riley   Kelly Davis
Kelly grew up in a home where her parents had pets before they had children.  Growing up in a house with both cats and dogs, she developed a strong affinity for companion animals and has had dogs and cats all of her adult life.  She currently shares her home with two dogs, Gizzy and Riley.  Both mixed breeds, they are rescues (one from a high-kill shelter and one from the SPCA).

For the past six years, in addition to her day job (she works in an early intervention program for infants and toddlers with visual impairments), Kelly has also been an active volunteer at the SPCA.  In 2007, she was given the Volunteer of the Year Award for her dedication and outstanding service to this organization.  Besides weekly volunteering with the dogs (as a matchmaker), she also is involved in the food barrel program, volunteers for many SPCA events, serves on two SPCA board subcommittees, and has signed up for the newly established AniMeals program.  Kelly is also involved in the Wake Coalition for Animals, a local advocacy group dedicated to insuring humane treatment of pets in Wake County and across the state.

Caroline Hite
Caroline cannot imagine her life without animals. As a child, she was always trying to rescue some poor injured bird or rabbit. She grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes and today, has a Golden Retriever named Cane. She also has a cat named Blue who she rescued from Hurricane Floyd. Caroline found Blue while she was serving as a volunteer at a makeshift shelter for displaced animals.

Caroline has a son named Cheyenne who attends Appalachian State and shares his mother’s passion for animals. She has a Zoology degree from NC State and worked as a veterinary technician for eight years.  Caroline now works for the American Kennel Club and has been there since 1997.  Currently, she is a DNA processor, performing analysis for parentage verification by reading DNA results.  Her previous role at the AKC was as a recovery coordinator/companion for their animal recovery program.

Caroline feels blessed to work with animals and considers it a privilege to take care of her clients’ pets. She understands the importance of having peace of mind when one is away from home.

Patty and Blondie   Patty Jones
Ever since she can remember, Patty has been a huge animal lover. She grew up with a beagle/terrier mix, Bunny, who helped her parents keep an eye on her as she was growing up. When she was 16, she rescued Blondie, a three month old yellow lab mix. Patty saved her from a difficult situation and, thirteen years later, they are best friends – she can’t imagine life without Blondie.  When she was younger, they enjoyed hiking and swimming, but unfortunately, Blondie’s age is keeping her from doing much hiking anymore. Today, instead of swimming in water, she prefers to just lay in it! Patty also shares her home with two cats – Stippy and Mikey – and Lemonade, her nine year old parakeet.

Patty’s first job working with animals was at Petsmart, where she learned a lot about avians, exotics, fish, and rodents. She worked there for four years and eventually was promoted to Specialty Manager. After leaving Petsmart, she started at her first vet hospital working in the kennel. Over the years, Patty has moved her way up and today works full-time as a Vet Technician with East Coast Veterinary Imaging, Inc., a mobile veterinary radiology company. She loves her full-time job with the mobile clinic, as well as her part-time job with All Breed Care. She feels very fortunate to have two dream jobs that both allow her to work with the animals she is so passionate about.

Crissy Jeckel
A native of Eastern North Carolina, Crissy now lives in Raleigh with her husband, three children and two furbabies, Rhett and Scarlett (yellow and chocolate labs). Crissy was a paralegal for 10 years and decided that she needed a change. She now has a flexible home business and enjoys taking care of animals for All Breed Care. She finds the time spent with the pets in her care to be very therapeutic. She feels that being around dogs and cats helps her keep a more positive outlook on life. Crissy loves her dogs like her own children, and enjoys spending time with them going boating, throwing balls, taking long walks.

Erin and Abbey   Erin Weiss
Erin is a native of Raleigh and a recent graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University with a B.A. in Geography. During her sophomore year, Erin and her roommates fostered several rescue dogs as part of the Animal Welfare & Foster Program in Blacksburg, Virginia. They fostered a variety of breeds, from a Coonhound named Matilda to a Pointer puppy named Pepper. Her time spent getting to know the foster dogs and helping to find their “forever homes” has strengthened her passion for animal care. Erin’s best friend is a Westie named Abbey Road, who follows her almost everywhere she goes. Erin is excited to learn and play as a Pack Leader with All Breed Care!

Angie Malek
Like all the other Pack Leaders, Angie has been around animals since childhood.  Growing up, she had rabbits, fish, gerbils, hamsters, chickens, a duck, goats, guinea pigs, squirrels, and mice. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer animation from the Art Institute of Dallas, but changed her career goals after working at a very busy dog daycare and boarding facility, handling up to a hundred dogs daily.

Angie’s love for dogs grew stronger when she rescued her dog Pivo, a 2.5 year old rat/terrier/basenji mix with a broken tail, forehead wrinkles, and one eye smaller than the other. She is very interested in canine behavior, behavior modification techniques, and canine health/nutrition. She enjoys running, hiking, rollerblading, bike riding, swimming, and playing ball with Pivo and her ABC clients’ pets.

Randolph, Doobie & Java   Randolph Pritchard
Growing up in a household with multiple pets, Randolph has continued the family tradition throughout his adult life. Today, his wife Nancy, and daughter Alexandra share a home with two dogs and a cat – an elderly Black Lab named Java, a boxer mix named Doobie, and a gorgeous Russian Blue cat named Jack. Randolph and his family are firm supporters of animal adoption and all three of the “furry” family members come from local rescue groups.

In addition to the countless hours he spends in the company of his own pets, Randolph devotes numerous hours each week volunteering with local animal welfare groups, the foremost of which is Safe Haven For Cats, a local no-kill shelter for felines. Given his passion for animals, he is excited to join the All Breed Care staff, and looks forward to the opportunity to spending time caring for and playing with your animals!!
