FAQs
What area does All Breed Care service?
All Breed Care services most of Raleigh/North Raleigh and parts of Wake Forest. Please contact our office to find out if your community is located in our service area.
What is involved with the Initial Consultation Visit?
The Initial Consultation Visit is crucial, as it gives the opportunity for the entire family (including pet) and the All Breed Care associate to get to know one another. The visit is held at the family's home and typically is between 30 to 45 minutes in length. All pets to be cared for and their owners must be present at the Initial Consultation Visit.
During this visit, All Breed Care associates will complete a questionnaire with the family in order to collect important information about the pet(s), including personality, behavior, dietary plans, and routines. It is important for the All Breed Care associates to learn as much as possible about your pet(s) in order for us to make the best recommendation about meeting your pet's needs. The Initial Consultation Visit also allows your family to get to know the All Breed Care associates and learn about our policies and procedures. Finally, required documents will be completed, and the All Breed Care associates will collect two sets of house keys.
This initial visit is complimentary for all clients who book services with All Breed Care. There is a $20 fee for any additional or follow-up visits.
Note: Initial Consultation Visits are required for all new families and those who have not utilized our services within the past year.

Am I required to provide health/immunization records to All Breed Care?
In order for All Breed Care to provide services for your pet, we require copies of all current immunization records from your veterinarian. To help protect people and other animals against rabies, vaccination of dogs and cats is required by law in North Carolina. Therefore, all rabies vaccinations must be up to date.

How much time will you spend with my pet?
All Breed Care visits can last anywhere
from 20 minutes to an hour and a half in length. The amount of time
we spend with your loved one depends on preferences and specific
needs of your pet(s). Some animals prefer their day to be uninterrupted,
except by someone who will provide them with food and the opportunity
to relieve themselves. Others like to prance around the neighborhood
or play in the yard before they eat and lay down for a snoozy-doozy.
Some can't tolerate being cooped up inside all day and need a release
at the park or with their buddies. Recommendations will be made at
the Initial Consultation Visit based on you and your pet's needs.

Are you "insured & bonded?"
All Breed Care is fully insured with
the best liability insurance and dishonesty bond available to protect you, your loved ones, and your home.
We take great pride in providing the most professional and highest
quality services possible. All Breed care can provide you with copies of these policies, at your request. Our staff undergoes regular background
checks and follows high standards in their personal and professional
lives. We know how difficult it is to leave your loved ones in the
care of others. We will do whatever it takes to make you feel at
ease when you are not able to be home, knowing that someone you trust
is taking care of your precious family members.

Will you care for my outdoor pet?
Our greatest concern is for the safety of your animals, and it is with this in mind that we have developed our "outdoor pet" policy. All animals in our care must be in controlled settings/ containment (i.e. indoor or fenced in yard/pen/kennel). Since a fence is no match for cats, we require that they stay indoors while in our care.

How do you provide
home security for your clients who have to be gone overnight?
Not only will All Breed Care provide
your pet(s) with food and the opportunity to relieve him/herself
before retiring for the evening, but we can also turn on/off
lights, bring in the mail/newspaper, take out the trash, water
your plants, and supervise service technicians. This will give
you the peace of mind to know that someone is watching the fort
while you are away.

Will you clean my cat's litter box?
All Breed Care knows how important it
is to cats and their parents to have clean and tidy litter boxes.
Clean litter boxes are vital to your loved one's health. We will
tidy up around and clean litter from your cat's litter box during
every visit. We can also provide a full litter box change upon request.

How often should you visit to care for my cat?
Cats are independent and nocturnal animals.
Most prefer to snoozy-doozy all day, getting up only to eat and
relieve themselves. Therefore,
usually one to two visits each day are enough (minimum of one visit per day is required). However, some cats
need to be more active with regular exercise during the day. All
Breed Care will make a recommendation at your Initial Consultation
Visit in order to help you decide what is best for your cuddly
loved one.

Will my dog be walked alone or in a group?
All Breed Care services only one
client at a time, the needs and safety of that client are
of the utmost priority. In homes where there may be more than one
dog, all dogs will be serviced together, unless otherwise requested.
For those who wish to provide the opportunity for their dog to socialize,
All Breed Care provides Buddy Play Dates and Park Play Dates. We
do not provide service at area "off-leash" dog parks.

I don't have a spare key; can I leave
it for you under the welcome mat?
Access to your home is imperative
in order for us to carry out your service. All Breed Care requires
all clients to provide two sets of spare keys at the time of
the Initial Consultation Visit, if services are to be rendered.
One set will be kept by the All Breed Care associate who will
be providing services. The other will be kept at the All Breed
Care office in case of an emergency. This ensures that we can
get into your house and let your loved ones out to relieve themselves.
Also, All Breed Care clients can take advantage of our
cost-effective lock-out service, rather than pay upwards of $50-$100
for a locksmith.
